Originating from the home of the Rocky Mountain Columbine, Colorado, and building her family's nest in Central Texas, Kristin is what Southern Columbine is all about. She's a down home girl with a love for the people and beauty around her. She mixes her crafty passions as easily as she has blended her Colorado upbringing with her Southern surroundings. She is a happily married mother to two great kids; one born in the land of the Columbine and the other born under the stars of Texas.

Kristin is a natural light family and children's photgrapher whose interest in the art began with a little plastic black and white 35mm film camera back in the third grade; had her taking hundreds of photos on family trips as a young girl; progressed to a 35mm color SLR when her husband received one as a bonus at work and has brought her to the current age of the DSLR camera. Although she has taken many paths in life, her journey always seems to bring her back to the camera, the photos and the people in them.

Kristin's 30+ year passion for photography has her striving to capture something special: the essence of a personality...a connection... a relationship...a moment of awe...a work of art. Her non-traditional approach invites her clients to choose a favorite location, kick back and spend some quality time with each other while she's capturing those special moments, interactions, passing expressions and emerging personalities.

As a mom of two children, Kristin understands how fleeting these moments with our children are; how important it is to capture these precious times in an artistic manner that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
